Orthodontics
It is rare to find someone who was born with a perfectly straight and balanced smile. Crooked teeth continue to be a common aesthetic concern among teens and adults. However, did you know that misaligned teeth can also be an oral health concern? If teeth are not aligned and well-spaced, it leaves more areas where food can get lodged or where your toothbrush can’t reach. This leaves you vulnerable to decay and gum disease. For the sake of your self-esteem and your smile health, consider orthodontics from Three Creek Dentistry.

Orthodontics FAQs
What is the difference between ClearCorrect and Invisalign?
ClearCorrect and Invisalign are both excellent choices for clear aligner therapy, and they both offer quick and effective treatment plans. The main differences between them are how the aligners are designed. ClearCorrect uses a thinner material that some patients say feels more comfortable and looks less noticeable in the mouth. Invisalign uses patented SmartTrack® technology that patients claim feels stronger, and they are easier to place on the teeth and remove. Our team would be happy to discuss your treatment options with you at your orthodontic consultation.
How long does clear aligner therapy take?
The average time frame for clear aligner therapy is between 12 and 18 months. Some patients who have very mild orthodontic issues may only have to wear their clear aligners for 6 months, while other treatment plans can be 24 months or longer. The best thing that patients can do to help their treatment plan stay on track is to wear their clear aligners as often as possible, which is about 21 to 22 hours per day for most patients. At your consultation, we will be able to give you an estimate for the approximate length of your specific treatment plan.
How often should I clean my clear aligners?
Cleaning your clear aligners is essential for keeping them clear and discreet. Every time you take your aligners out you will want to rinse them off under warm water that is not too hot, as hot water can warp the plastic. After eating you will want to brush your teeth or at least rinse your mouth out with water and clean your aligner, either by brushing them or soaking them in a solution that is safe and effective for cleaning clear aligners and then brushing them gently with a toothbrush. Since you will begin wearing new aligners every two weeks, keeping each aligner clean and clear with proper cleaning methods should be relatively easy.
